Why Must We Pray?

1. To obtain help from God (Hebrews 4:16, Acts 26:22, 2 Corinthians 26:1,5,7, Psalm 59:9)
2. To obtain mercy. (Hebrews 4:16, Psalm 3:5)
3. To obtain angelic intervention. (Acts12:5, Matthew 26:52-53)
4. To obtain deliverance from affliction. (Psalm 18:28)
5. To keep ourselves concentrated i.e. to live a Holy life. (Matthew 6:13, Zechariah.3: 1-3)
6. To obtain deliverance from temptation and evil. (Ephesians 6:18, Matthew 6:13)

What is Prayer?

1. Prayer is a two-way communication with God. (Isaiah 1:18, Jeremiah 33:3)
2. Prayer is the practise of asking and receiving from God. (Matthews 7:7, Jeremiah 29:11-12, Psalm 65:2)
3. It is asking God to intervene in your situation based on His Word. (2 Corinthians 20: 1-6)
